Our congregation mourns the loss of Chaya Zissel Braun z”l, a 3-year old girl killed in terrorist hit and run attack in Jerusalem yesterday.
A Remembrance Service for Pregnancy Loss will be held tonight, Oct 23 at 7:00PM at Washington Hebrew Congregation. Rabbi Uri and Dahlia Topolosky will be participating in this meaningful community service to give a voice to the grief that families endure with pregnancy loss or neonatal death. If you or someone you know has experienced this type of loss, we welcome you to join us.
“The Shabbos Project” is being launched this weekend, Oct 24-25, to encourage Jews worldwide to celebrate one Shabbat together. Our Beth Joshua community has invited our members to reach out to one individual or family to invite to your Shabbat table. Beginning this Shabbat, Beth Joshua will be welcoming Berman high school teens each week to add ruach to our minyanim and to assist with the Shabbat morning youth groups. Let’s give them a warm welcome!
MIKVAH: Women of Beth Joshua are invited to gather on Shabbat afternoon, Nov 1 at 4PM, at the home of Dahlia Topolosky, for an informal conversation about policies and practices for our Aspen Hill Mikvah.

The Berman High School Mission to Israel is leaving Nov 19 and Rabbi Uri will be staffing the 10-day trip. In his absence, Mel Getz will be delivering the Shabbat morning derasha on Nov 22 in honor of “Mystery Science Shabbat 3000” (a special DC area initiative), and David Zakar will be delivering the derasha on Nov 29.
INAUGURAL FAMILY MINYAN

Join us for our inaugural monthly Family Minyan, where mommies, daddies, or even grandparents can join with their little ones (geared to ages 0-5) in shul with the Rabbi and Rebbetzin for a short, musical, engaging prayer service, complete with an arts project and light bagel brunch!
